Advantages: - Disadvantages: - ...singles and album cuts from Lenny Kravitz, an American singer-singwriter-musician who's big in the States but still mostly remembered over here for Are You Gonna Go My Way, a stonking hit single in 1993 and Fly Away, which reached no 1 with the help of a car ad (where have I heard that one before?) I personally don't know anyone who'd buy all his albums, but this CD hoovers up stuff from his first five releases and serves as a good introduction to ... ...at the time too, Lenny getting name-checked by heavyweights like Guns & Roses and Aerosmith. Let Love Rule itself is all rising horns (ooer missus) and massed choruses, whilst Mr Cab Driver has Kravitz dissing the man who "don't like dreads, he thinks we're all crooks". Anyone who's heard Kiss' "Firehouse" will recognise the bassline......it's a rip!! A great CD for the car Advantages: some great songs Disadvantages: a couple of bad tunes "Tasty" is an extremely good album by Kelis, the album has got some great songs on it for example "Trick Me", "Millionaire", "Milkshake", "Glow", "Keep It Down", "In Public" and "Attention". All in all the CD has got fourteen tracks on it, and there is only a couple of songs that I wasn't too keen on, however that might just be myself other people might love the whole album. A couple of friends that I have talked to have said that they love the whole ... ...to her songs they make you sing along to aloud no matter where you are. The album is good to listen to when you are just chilling out at home on your own or when you have a party aswell. But I personally feel that the best time to listen to this album is when you are travelling in your car. The Choice Is Yours Advantages: A couple of nice tunes Disadvantages: Lots of weaks tracks "Fly Or Die" is the second album from the Funk/Rock/Hip Hop band NERD, who gained fame as the production team The Neptunes. The team of Shay Haley, Chad Hugo and Pharell Willaims return to bring more of the experimental sounds to the masses in this their 2004 cut. 1. "Don't Worry About It" You get the uniq 'Neptunes Sound' kicking things off, and it drags you right into the piece, however I foudn myself being pushed right back out as Pharrell ... ...do some really over-the-top singing whcih put me right off. Two Stars* 2. "Fly or Die" Here is the title trakc from the album, and it has them go into their Rock side,and if you are famialr with their music then you should be aware that their Rock side, most specifically the live instrumentals is what lets them down. Old School Janet Advantages: funky and full of great tracks Disadvantages: tons of two second tracks (???) Thought I'd go back to the past for this review - the early 90s! Was listening to this album last night and thought it would be a good cd to review because a) it is consistently of a high standard and b) it is probably the last album of janet jackson's which I really enjoyed. It features a ton of great songs and styles and is definitely a must-have. I bought Janet's last album "All for You" and wasn't too impressed with it. Although there were a ... ...it to the quality of THIS album, it just pales in comparison. Here's a look at the best tracks . . . THAT'S THE WAY LOVE GOES probably the most famous hit from the album. laidback, soulful "bedroom music". YOU WANT THIS sounds like a cross between "Rhythm Nation", "When I Think Of You" and "The Pleasure Principle" and has a very catchy chorus. IF this apparently contains a Supremes sample but I don't recognise it cos I;m not really up on older ... Saadiq + Robinson + Mr. Muhammad = ..... Advantages: Bangers throughout Disadvantages: Nothing specific The Neo-Soul super-group, Lucy Pearl, dropped their self-entitled debut in 2000. In the group, at this point, you find former, En Vogue singer, Dawn Robinson, Raphael Saadiq, of Tony! Toni! Toné!, as well as A Tribe Called Quest’s Ali Shaheed Muhammad on the beats. I expect that most will only know them for the single “Don’t Mess With My Man”, although their material really deserves a lot more attention as they brought together R&B, Soul and Hip ... ...1. “Lucy Pearl’s Way” (Intro) 2. “Trippin’” To get you into the proper material on the album, this one finds them rally showing just what they are about-, flowing the introduction of where they have all individually come form, and I felt that the results of this one seems to be just perfect in getting you excited for what else they could possibly come up with for the remainder of the album as this one has them perform a funky tune which really represents ...
