...The Album “The Best Of Con Funk Shun” originally dropped in 1993 and it finds a compilation of all the biggest hits from the R&B, Soul and Funk collective spanning from 1977, up to as far as 1985 (and so features only the work during their peak years) and none of the experimental years or when they had seen all that they had to offer. The tracks don’t come out chronologically here, but do include all the most well-known singles. Being a huge fan of the X Factor I always like to support the up and coming artists that make it from the show, ie: JLS and Leona Lewis.
I have to say that Alexandra Burke's album has to be, by far, my favourite album to come out of the show. She has a phenomenal voice, better than some of the judges, who shall remain nameless. My choice for the best song on the album has to be 'Hallelujah', the song has such depth and meaning, and Alexandra sings ...

Released in 1996, “Maxwell’s Urban Hang Suite” came as the debut album from the Neo-Soul singer Maxwell. It finds him blending a variety of R&B-related musical genres (Soul, Jazz, Quiet Storm, Funk, Hip Hop etc.) in order to give a new take on a style that apparently began to run out of ideas when it came to things geared towards the mainstream commercial fan base. 1. “The Urban Theme” (Intro) 2. “Welcome” Comign off a funky, Hip Hop-utilising introductory ... ...that keeps the Funk rolling through the music and giving him all he needs in order to bring through the kind of feel that was felt from early eighties R&B bands who had developed out of the Soul and Funk fields into this.
