This is a must for Gerry and The Pacemakers fans. Pure listening pleasure. Gerry Marsden, the lead singer was in the sixties and is still a fantastic vocalist, he can have you up off your seat dancing with 'Shot of Rythm and Blues' and 'Jambalaya' and then completely slow down the mood with classic tracks such as 'Ferry Cross the Mersey' and 'You'll Never Walk Alone' the ultimate football anthem (especially if you, like I am a fanatical Liverpool fan)
There are 26 tracks to listen to both upbeat and slow I could not find any fault with this DVD except perhaps for the fact that two tracks did not feature Gerry but one featured the Fourmost, which was quite good but the other track Cilla Black, well it depends on your point of view but for me this track ruins the whole thing, (no offence Cilla) but you were at your best on Blind Date, a singer you aint. Take this track off the DVD and you have the perfect difinitive, '60s album.
I don't know if Gerry Marsden is still doing the rounds, but if he isn' t then he should be. For my money this group in the sixties far outshone the Beatles, some of you out there might not agree, but which one of the Beatles had a powerful, sometimes plaintiff voice like Gerry Marsden.
If you are too young to remember the 60's then cut your teeth on this one, you won't go far wrong, I cannot praise it hightly enough.
