light as air, yet continues to grow with repeated listening. Initially, Gorky's Zygotic Mynci seemed like a backwoods acid test gone awry. Early albums were filled with dense psychedelic pop songs, whose surreal feel was aided by the band occasionally singing in its native Welsh, bizarre illustrations and photos depicting the band as forest-bound wizards and gnomes. Over its last few releases, however, Gorky's has refinedits music and image, leaving behind the gimmicks and costumes for a subtler sound that is as hypnotic as it is catchy. Most intriguing is the band's ability to create songs that are both expansive and intimate, that flow with an improvisational feel without ever losing control. While the usual pop influences can be found within their music (Beach Boys, Beatles) it is the unexpected touches that give the songs heft. Taking its cues from Fairport Convention's unconventional folk sound, Van Morrison's mysticism and strangely enough, church hymnals, Gorky's songs are permeated with a darkness and longing that makes the music compelling.How I Long To Feel That Summer in My Heartis what should happen to psychedelic music once the light show gets boring.--Adam Silverman

Gorky's ZygoticMynci are probably one of the 'least known' but very good innovative bands around! Championed by the legendary John Peel, who also championed JImi Hendrix when he first appeared on the scene (so really knows what he is on about), Gorky's ZygoticMynci do what they do best, with this their seventh album. Its less rocky than their previous venture 'Spanish Dance Troupe', which was much more commercial than their previous albums and with beautiful acoustic string melodies and enchanting vocals the overall effect is a Celtic inspired swaying spiralling relaxation that this group is surely king of! Its a sort of New Age sound that invokes days out in the mountains, with birds singing, white fluffy clouds, butterflies, daises and water running over rocks, but without the tackiness that goes with hippies claiming to talk to ...
Advantages: Good uplifting songs Disadvantages: Few tracks that feel like filler
In 2001 the boys from New Jersey - The Bouncing Souls released there sixth full length album - HowI Spent mySummer Vacation, an album that a few fans seemed to think was inferior to previous releases. As someone who was new to them, getting into them because they were always one of the stronger acts on Epitaph Records sampler CD series 'Punk O'Rama'. I purchased this album off Amazon. It did not disappoint.

It opens up with 'That Song' which opens with 'I put that record on just to make a sound.' a lively punky song that gives you a feel for what the Souls are about. Fantastic album opener - something you find the Souls are very good at doing.

softwares and none of them were really useful at all. It didnt bring anything new tomy phone. It's a whole other case with iPhone. It opens up a world of possibilties. So when I hear the daily rants about how the iPhone doesn't send mms or doesnt shoot video, I just reply....yet! Cause it's just a matter of time and easily fixed to add those functions. They already exist in the unofficial appworld so it technically works on the iPhone. So it's in no way uncapable of doing this. People dropping these comments are to locked up in the traditional views of a cellphone. You unbox a new Nokia and it comes with 30 basic functions pf which you maybe use 5. iPhone on the other hands comes with 30 of its own functions and then you can customized it from the range of 1000's of apps, based on what you feel you need at the moment. I for one don't miss MMS ...
