Advantages: So funny, even your bloke will love it, oh the eye candy Disadvantages: I want them to make another- but it would never be as good
This is a brilliant romantic comedy and one of my all time favourite films.
Howtolose a guyin10days has a very clever story line whereby a 'howto' girl working for a magazine has the challenge to write an article on howtolose a guy- you guessed it in10days. She is challenged to do this afther friend and work mate gets in trouble at work after she's dumped- again by a bloke. It turns out that she did many things which many women do that make men run a mile. So the end result is that Andy- the howto girl has to find a guy and then drive him away in10days.
She heads out with friends to meet this poor guy and finally bumps into Ben a guy who works in the advertising industry. Unknown to Andy he has also been given a challenge. Ben has been fighting to lead on a diamond contract. Ben tells his boss that he can make ...
Advantages: Frothy, light-hearted, enjoyable, good actors Disadvantages: Unmemorable
EDIT - This is my 50th opinion! I didn't notice until now, -I thought I'd just mention it (lol) it's not related to the film at all.
I'd heard lots of good things about HowToLose A GuyIn Ten Days, and it seemed like something I'd like, so I dragged my friend to the Trafford Centre with me this afternoon to watch it.

Andie Anderson is a talented writer for Composure magazine, but she is held back by her demanding editor. She writes a monthly 'HowTo' column each month, which is unchallenging and boring.
Her friend gets dumped, after making a series of mistakes, and Andie realises she's onto an article. She decides to write a piece about the classic mistakes that women make that lead to them being dumped. Her editor entitles this, 'HowToLose A GuyIn Ten Day's. She has to find a guy, and then drive him away in ten ...
Advantages: Great entertainment Disadvantages: NONE
the secondary actors in the film. It is quite rare that secondary and/or minor actors gave such great performances but this certainly is not the case in that movie. The two scheming women who set Ben up with Andie certainly add an original twist to the plot as a whole! I would also say that both Andie?s and Ben?s friends provide refreshing breaks when the plot starts to get a little too intense and heavy.
Of course love is omnipresent in the film, and that was an element that I particularly enjoyed. I was extremely dismayed by some so-called romantic comedies that put drama and melodrama in the foreground and then centers love and humor somewhere in the background. However, inHowtoLose a Guyin10Days, the element of love and romantic atmosphere is really striking- and that, I must say, was really impressing to me, considering the story ...

The soundtrack to the sugary Kate Hudson/Matthew McConaughey romantic comedy HOW TO LOSE A GUY IN 10 DAYS bears an eclectic mix of artists. There are plenty of oldies but goodies ranging from Al Green's make-out anthem "Let's Stay Together" and Carly Simon's sassy "You're So Vain" to George Thorogood & The Destroyers' gut-bucket reading of Bo Diddley's "Who Do You Love." There's also more recent pop manna including Sixpence None The Richer's Cranberries-like "Kiss Me" and the Gin Blossom's jangly power-pop jewel "Follow You Down." Also sprinkled throughout are nifty nuggets like Fisher's trip-hoppish cover of Nat "King" Cole's "L-O-V-E" and a pair of cuts by Canadian pop pianist Chantal Kreviazuk including her soulful interpretation of Randy Newman's "Feels Like Home" (which also appears on the DAWSON'S CREEK soundtrack). Best of all is Luce's "Good Day," a delicious combination of Hi Records-flavored horns, percolating bass, and snappy spoken-sung inflection by frontman Tom Luce that falls somewhere between Elvis Costello and Todd Rundgren.
