Advantages: Daft Punk going back to their roots Disadvantages: A lot different from Discovery album; some may not like that
...their own voices. "We are human after all" is what they declare but Daft Punk don't just record their voices straight, no they distort it and change it making themselves sound like robots. "The Prime Time Of Your Life" seems more of a return to their cut and paste past. It's a kind of mix of all different sounds, with a heavy filtered bass and beats layered over flashes of a synth. They use bits of vocals which has all been mashed up using a vocoder ... ...- 1997

Advantages: Excellent production. Different direction (new sound). Not a lot else. Disadvantages: Overuse of the robotic voice sound. Not a single 'killer' hit (like One More Time, Aerodynamic etc..).
...- becuase there's nothing particularly human about it.
Maybe I've missed the point of the album and that it was an experiment for Daft Punk - but given the amount of publicity it had in Japan - I doubt that was the case. If it was an experiment - then it went wrong. If it was released as a commercial album - in my opinion it's a disaster - because there's not a single track here worth being released as a single.
A very disappointing effort from ...

Advantages: new sound created through the use of guitars Disadvantages: repetative???
Human After All, the highly anticipated third album from the French duo Daft Punk and only took six weeks to make. The album begins with the Track Human After All which has a real electronic sound to it very similar to Kraftwerk, you will also instantly notice the use of electric guitars in the track all of which are preformed by Daft Punk, this helps to create a new sound to Daft Punk's music and this theme is continued throughout the album.
The ... ...beats and robotic like vocals which sounds pretty cool and sets the standard for the rest of the album, this standard is followed in tracks two and three, The Prime Time Of Your Life and Robot Rock, but from track four onwards this is where the cracks start to appear and it shows that the album has only been made in six weeks.
The rest of the album then starts to sound all a bit familiar with similar guitar sounds as in the earlier tracks and in ...

...watch Interstella 5555 and tell me it is not they're most distinguishing element. Fave tracks on this album are Human After All, Robot Rock (been used as backing tracks on TV) and Technologic (an absolute stormer), which uses their vocoded vocals the way only Daft punk know how! ...

Advantages: Daft Punk!! new daft punk songs. Disadvantages: Very samey
Well if you have been a lover of daft punk like I have for many years, you may be as disappointed with this CD as I was.
It does take a lot of listening to before you can really get into any of the songs.
Most of the songs on this CD have a much the sameness about them, there doesn't seem to have been as much effort put into writing this CD as there has been to produce it.
And since I've listened to this now many times I still only seem to love ...
