Hungry Years - Accept

Advantages: Awe inspiring memorable music.
Disadvantages: Long - 2 hrs 20 mins

...performances were all given at Easter. Charles Burney, the 18th century music historian, remarked that Handel's Messiah "fed the hungry, clothed the naked, and fostered the orphan." If you are unable to see a performance live, I would reccomend that you listen to this album. It is a two CD album, so I accept it will be long for some (2hours 20 minutes) but if you cannot listen to it in its entirity experience at least extracts from the Messiah. Thank you for reading>... ...Cassidy lent his vocal skills to R Kelly's Hotel not too long ago, and the song was a big hit that year. This debut album is an R'n'B/Pop/Hip Hop mix, which doesn't really stay up there with the bigboys. Of the 23 songs on the album I think only 7 of them are potenital good singles, Bang On,Pop that Cannon and I'l make you scream are the usual sort of songs we have come to expect from young American stars trying to follow in Ushers footsteps. The album itself isn't all that bad it's just the main focus of most of the songs are about sleeping with girls or 'Beef' with his boys! Im Hungry and The Pump are fantastic songs and he has some great collaborations with the likes of Snoop and Jadakiss.... Read review

.... Life During Wartime 13. Take Me To The River 14. Great Curve If anyone wants to hear Talking Heads at their most interesting this is the album - along with Stop Making Sense it stands as one of the best live albums ever made. Stop Making Sense (the film of this concert was directed by Jonathan Demme - director of Silence of the Lambs) and stands as a good document of the Heads at the height of their powers but this album has more rough edges and isn't as polished - as you can see from the tracklisting this version has a number of bonus tracks that weren't on the vinyl issue that I had years ago. The good thing about this album is that it features alot of the earlier tracks that alot of people wouldn't be that familiar with - songs like Warning Sign, Don't Worry About The Government and Stay Hungry.
