Zane Lowe is a DJ on radio 1 and goes out on air Monday to Thursday at 7pm to 9pm and plays a wide selection of new music from hip hop, drum and bass, rock, indie and other styles of music.
Zane Lowe's real name is Alexander Zane Reid Lowe and was born in New Zealand on 7th August 1973 and moved to England 9 years ago; he has a wife but likes to keep his private life quiet.
Before Zane became a radio DJ he used to be in a hip hop band called Urban Disturbance but is now in a band called Breaks Co-op who have released two albums in New Zealand - Roofers (1997) and The Sound Inside (2005), they have also released a single in England called The Otherside in 2005 which can also be found on the album The bands 06.

I was really disappointed by this one. It has Pharrelll (and not him as part of the duo, The Neptunes, doing the production to the remix of one of their most well-known tracks. Pharrell does nothing but bring it down with the type of beats which he gave Madonna for "Hard Candy", contrasting from the emotive lyrics in the song.

7. "Shiver" (feat. DJ Quik)
The California producer, DJ Quik jumps on this one, and shows his influences from the world of Funk by kicking things back on this Maroon 5 song, and putting some Old School Geroge Clinton vibes onto it. You can't help but enjoy the way it fits in with the melodic lyrics from Adam Levine.

In the past few mobile phone manufactures have managed to dislodge the Sony Ericsson's Walkman range from the top of the pile where music phones are concerned, the only model to come close is the almighty iPhone? Nokia tried and failed with their 5310 XpressMusic handset, as did LG and until recently Samsung didn't quite make it with both the Jet and F400.
However, Samsung have not given up on the music phone market - as the release of their latest handset demonstrates, the new Samsung M7600, aptly named the BeatDJ. The BeatDJ takes the genre of the music phone to an entirely new level; it is the first to incorporate a virtual turntable, but is this enough to steal the title of the 'Ultimate Music Phone,' or is this just another gimmick?
