...Just got this CD accidentally. This was fortunate error because it really is good. I have never heard of these artists or DJ Matthew Grim. But EVERYTHING on Hypnotic Journey is amazing. I highly recommend this well mixed CD. From begining to the end the progression just keeps you moving and grooving. I never wanted it to end. I can't really define the exact genre of the music but it is basically progressive trance/house hybrid. ? ? You just have to hear it you won't be disappointed. DJ Matthew Grim delivers the goods. In the world of generic sounding watered down electronic music it is refreshing to see this DJ taking major chances with his musical selections. It really is a Hypnotic Journey!!!!!!... Read review

Advantages: Double Album
Disadvantages: Tiesto's wearing my Gucci shoes on the cover

...Holland's number 1 and questionably the world's number 1 DJ is back with a superb new album, and he doesn't disappoint. As per usual the album is filled with some amazing tunes and will have you bopping for months. Die hard Tiesto fans may argue that this isn't as good as In Search of Sunrise 5, however I think theres something for everyone on here, from the amazing vocals of Leah on Don't Belong by Andy Diguid to the hypnotic Madras by Global Experience. The CD begins with a short intro (La Hacienda) before beginning its extremely chilled journey through to Madras - Global Experience and then explodes with Summerfish (Scandall Sunset On Ibiza mix) - Rudenko, Leonid, which is my personal fave. All in all the first CD is superbly hypnotic and makes a very good CD for the car on long journeys or on the way to a good night, as well... Read review

Advantages: Fantastic undergroun, down-tuned feel

...Coal Chamber have been influenced by a strange variety of goth, hip hop and hardcore, all of which come across in this very well chosen 'Best Of' album. Since their forming in LA back in 1994, the band have stayed at the forefront of nu and underground metal, describing themselves as 'spookycore'. Their originality has remained unchallenged, and this record certainly portrays all of these traits. This record is part of 'The Roots of Roadrunner Records Series', and opens with the blistering track 'Loco' (still remaining my personal favourite Coal Chamber song). It moves on through a hypnotic mix of underground, down-tuned riffs and bass lines, the drum and bass pumping throughout. Famous track 'Sway' (many know it as 'The Roof is on Fire') appears as the fourth track, before the album moves on from the bands debut album... Read review
