...Anthology 1 documented the backroom saga of the Beatles' career to the end of 1964. Part 2, to quote their publicist Derek Taylor, documented 'the years of dash and daring', which began with "Ticket To Ride" in 1965 and culminated in the psychedelic madness that was 1967. The vast majority of these songs are alternate takes, demos and rehearsal recordings of songs which they released at the time, like a hilarious version of "And Your Bird Can Sing" which ends in hysterical laughter (what else was in the studio at the time, one may ask), and instrumental takes of "Eleanor Rigby" and "Within You Without You". The few new songs to be found include "That Means A Lot", which they wrote and recorded at the "Help!" sessions and rejected and gave to P.J. Advantages: interesting lyrics, punchy titles, strong emotions
Disadvantages: i don't think there are any!

...When I first heard 'Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not ' I was a bit sceptical. I thought it was just a bunch of words put to a tune, or another band like 'the streets' or something, but actually, after listening to it a couple of times I started to really enjoy the songs, especially the song 'mardy bum', 'dancing shoes' and 'view from the afternoon'. True, I'm not sure what a few of them are about, but I like the songs even if I am not sure of how deep their meaning is. For example, my friend says 'when the sun goes down' is not about a prostitute or anything, it has a much deeper meaning, but I really enjoy the song thinking it is about exactly that! The album includes a mixture of types of music, and all the songs are at different speeds and volumes to add a real variety to the album. My favourite song, bar none is 'I... Read review

...This is Ashlee Simpson's second album, and the follow up to Autobiography.
