Charlatans can rest easy.I Believeisn't that kind of solo album. Rather than a bid for freedom, it's a side project in the old fashioned sense, written as much for his own amusement as commercial gain. Essentially, he's scratching an itch, namely his affection for America's west coast. A long-time LA resident, he's finally succumbed to Californian sunshine and his romantic road-movie fantasies. "I Believe in the Spirit"--partExile on Main Streetera Rolling Stones, part Lenny Kravitz circaLet Love Rule--is made for barrelling down an eight-lane freeway in a vintage convertible with the top down. "We All Need Love" and the shimmering acoustics of "Be My Baby" brim with cowboy pathos. "Held in Straps" is a Tex-Mex border skirmish with a ghoulish rock chug. With the breezily throwaway "Say Yes"--practically the Four Tops' "Loco in Acapulco"--followed by the wistful mariachi waltz "Love to Spend the Night with You", it's definitely not the Charlatans territory. However, unlike most hobby projects,I Believeisn't just for the dedicated fan. Loaded with charm and endearing melodies, it's a curiously lovable album.--Dan Gennoe

INTRODUCTION
This film is based on one of the most popular TV shows ever produced back in the 90's- 'the X-files'. The TV show ran from 1993 to 2002; it probed into mainly conspiracy theories involving the government and the existence of extra-terrestrial life and the occasional 'monster' stories which I enjoyed greatly.
It is the second film to be created in based on the franchise itself; its predecessor was crudely put together to create something of a film that was released to the cinemas in 1998. This film was released worldwide in 2008; directed by Chris Carter (he did all the directing in the TV series too) and he uses the same style that has been successful in his TV series; not straying too far from his experiences.
The duo; Duchovny and Anderson reunite once again, brushed the dust off their roles after a 6 years ...
Advantages: Gives comfort to people Disadvantages: Unscrupulous gits that exploit peoples beliefs as a way of making money
From photographs of ghosts and TV shows to Doris Stokes books i've watched and read about this subject for many years and even more so since my mother passed away two years ago.The one thing i have never done though is been to any spiritualist meetings or visited a psychic, mainly due to the fact that i couldn't stand the though of being lied to or being disappointed because the medium wasn't able to tell me anything.Despite all this i DO believe in the paranormal and after life even though i am fully aware that there are fraudsters out there that claim to be able to communicate with the dead for the sole purpose of making a quick and large profit.
*********** WHY ? *********
Well, the main reason for my belief in the after life is because it is a great comfort to think that one day, when my eyes close for the last time,i will float ...
Advantages: raw account of a teenage girl who has ran away, exciting feel which is also very personal Disadvantages: Some aspects of the book are aimed more at teenagers, then adults.
Junk by Melivin Burgess is definitely one of the best books I have ever read. It shows the reader why people are attracted to drugs from a very raw and emotional point of view and how they make the characters feel. From my personal point of view, the book shows the journey of a young girl caught up in the excitement of a party lifestyle that leads her gradually to become heroin addict. The books shows how people do not choose to become drug addicts, but are lead to that end by the choices they make.
Teenagers and both adults can relate to the emotions explored throughout the book and so you can relate directly to the characters.
Junk is a book about being young and wanting to escape the confines of life for a wilder, exciting life where you can be 'free'. Ultimately we see the characters downfall through the choices they make. ...
