...Lady of Sorrows A one i havn't heard as much as the others, it had an edge to it which is good. A good mix of quick and slow as the music travels through the song. 6 - Headfirst for Halos Again, not one i have heard much, but there isn't anything on the album i don't like. ...a big fan of MCR, I thought I definitely had to get this album, though was surprised at how different it sounded. However, after months I finally got into it. The style difference will probably come as a big turn-off to people who've only heard Three Cheers work, and I would not advise anyone who isn't into underground music to purchase this without listening to a song or two from the album first, not including "Romance" or "Headfirst for Halos"; ...
...Halos" was the only song I liked from the start on this album, showing just how different in style it is from the other songs I absolutely hated. However, if you're into the underground music and meaningful lyrics are your thing, I'd definitely tell you to pick up a copy of this album. But don't give up just yet; listen a little farther and you'll find a song about heartbreak, fidelity, and losing yourself. It is rather simplistic, and you may miss the depth of the song, which goes far past thoughts of mythical blood-slurping monsters. At the center, the song seems to be about not being afraid to take the plunge, whether plunging a spike through your lover's heart or simply not being afraid of who you really are. I Brought You My Bullets was the debut album of MCR released back in 2002 recorded just 3 months after the formation of the band. Although many people class it as emo or pop-punk i much rather call it rock. 4 singles were released from this album: 2002 - Honey, This MIrror Isn't Big Enough for the Two of Us 2002 - Vampires Will Never Hurt You 2004 - Headfirst for Halos 2004 - Our Lady of Sorrows Although brilliant tracks in their own way they ...
...none made their way up the charts in either the UK or the US. The album begins with the instrumental track entitled Romance and is rather much like Interlude on Three Cheers. Then comes the real quality of the album. Every song has its own meaning which are quite apparent upon reading the lyrics....i'll let you read them yourselves and not spoil the suprise. ...' and 'Cancer' have the best lyrics which are very easy to relate to. If you get a chance I would definetly look up the lyrics to these songs in particular. I think this album is a must for any my chemical romance fan. Every song has a meaning and I can guarantee you that you can relate to at least one of the song's lyrics. I strongly recommend their other albums; 'Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge' and 'I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love'. ...I purchased I Brought You My Bullets You Brought Me Your Love back in 2002. Once I heard My Chemical Romance were bringing out a new album back last year, I wasted no time and bought it straight a way. I really should have had another listen to their debut album instead of just assuming I still liked it before I came to such a stupid decision. As Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge turned up on my doorstep, I rushed to my CD Player, threw the CD in, and hit the play button. This is one of (if not THE) most disappointing purchases I ever bought. From start to finish, Gerald whines, whines, and whines some more. What is even more disheartening, is the lyrics aren't even remotely good. It's like reading a manic-depressives "poetic" livejournal entry whilst coming off Heroin. The rhyming is all rather forced, and the structure is predictable... Read review
