Advantages: Half Of The Songs Are Worth Listening To
Disadvantages: The Other Half Aren't As Good

...Wow, I'm surprised nobody has heard the whole "album" in order to review it, so I guess it's my job then. I first heard of these lads from the iPod advert (as I'm sure most of you have), with the totally groovy song "Walkie Talkie Man", which is included on this ECD. I thought the song was really catchy, so I did a bit of research on the Internet and found out about them. The band are from New Zealand and are yet to release an album (though this is near as dammit). After having listened to Walkie Talkie Man thousands of times I decided to buy this album. I was pleasantly surprised with the content on there, because although there were catchy rock songs on there, there were also a few more mellow ones melded with rock. Advantages: Outstanding groundbreaking production, vocals, style

...on this track is amazing: haunting stuttering beats, choppy beats and dirty beats are combined seamlessly and Aaliyah's voice is remarkable above them. Almost three years old now, this track still sounds completely fresh, innovative and astounding. 10/10 08: All I Need "I'm hoping that you stay right here with me" This is another unreleased track, which again is different than Aaliyah's usual tracks. It's my opinion that the production on this track was done after Aaliyah passed. Her voice also sounds quite young, so I think it is a song that was recorded maybe quite some time ago. Aaliyah's vocals are quite good, but not her best ever. Advantages: Some super catchy, hugely fun Pop Punk tracks.
Disadvantages: A couple of tracks fail to deliver.

...Simple Plan formed in Montreal, Canada back in 1999. To date they have released three studio albums including this latest self titled offering. Both of their first two albums have gone quadruple platinum in their homeland of Canada. I would not generally be in at all a rush to listen to Simple Plan when a new album is released, but with their 2008 self titled album I had been looking forward to listening to it for quite some time now. Since first hearing the track 'When I'm Gone' I was greatly anticipating as to what the band would have to offer with this release and have definitely not been left disappointed by what they've come up with.
