I'm an aspiring film-maker/writer currently studying in East Anglia.
I'm at the early stages of my first novel, 'Watching Dreams On Repeat', and I hope that one day, it will be published and moreover, reviewed on this website.

---------------- Overview ----------------
For me, this is probably one of the most important albums of all time. What it lacks sometimes in quality - because of course, it is a live album - it more than makes up for in passion, poignancy and sheer sui generis musical abstraction.
The album carefully cradles the notion of controlled aggression and in many ways, presents itself as Radiohead's ultimate catharsis. This new approach, also notable in both Kid A and Amnesiac, has, by all accounts, divided critics and furthermore impelled devoted fans to reconsider their opinions.
However, despite their genre-hopping tendencies, Radiohead have a fanbase that is still second to none. What with the success of both Thom Yorke's solo side-project (The Eraser) and Johnny Greenwood's branching out into far more abstract and experimental ambience (Bodysong), they have forged even more occupancies in the alternative market.
Irrespective of Kid A and all the other works mentioned above, 'I Might Be Wrong' is a spectacle to behold with its inspired samples (see: track one, radio transmissions), glitchy drum sequences and the carefully-constructed works of the tunesmith, Greenwood.
-------------- Tracklisting ----------------
1. The National Anthem -- adopts a whole new form as it deviates from its fairly clean and polished studio version into something wild, 'raspy' and in some moments, belligerent. Excellent opener.
2. I Might Be Wrong -- again, deviates from the original studio version insomuch as it strives to be bigger, better and a far more touching manifestation of its earlier version. A little slower, but far more sinister.
3. Morning Bell -- Sombre, doleful but highly potent as a live track.
4. Like Spinning Plates -- Excellent transformation and 'enchanting recital' of the original. Captivating denouement of what was, a fairly weak track in its studio inception. You have to hear it to believe it!
5. Idioteque -- Raucous, uncompromising rendition of the studio version. My friend once said that 'it makes him want to fight', but I'd venture to say it is a little more sophisticated than that-- the crux of the catharsis.
6. Everything In Its Right Place -- Resoundingly beautiful recital of the epic Kid A opener.
7. Dollars And Cents -- Funky and idyllic in exposition but probably the weakest tracks on the album.
8. True Love Waits -- This is unequivocally my favourite live track, from any band. It was the first song to make me cry, the first song to make me realize my potential and the first song that made me stop to think and understand the truly pervasive and unrivalled power of love.

Good review. Perhaps more detail would have been better but I like your writing style. Only have one Radiohead album but I have friends who are avid fans. V

I loved Radiohead in their Kid A/Amnesiac period so for me this was the perfect time for them to release a live album. Good review.

a good review although I would have liked the descriptions of each track to be more detailed - including the instruments played perhaps? Hannah xxx

Advantages: Adds raw live energy to tracks off Kid A & Amnesiac, previously unreleased bonus track True Love Waits Disadvantages: Short- only 8 tracks, no Optimistic
Advantages: finally 'True Love Waits' gets a proper release.Nice versions of 'Dollars and Cents' and 'Ideoteque' too Disadvantages: Only tracks from 'Kid A' and 'Amnesiac' are played, and Radiohead lean towards self indulgence frequently
