Advantages: She put her heart into the performance Disadvantages: She was drunk whilst performing
I paid £12 the R.R.P was £17.99
I've had mix thoughts on Amy Winehouse in the past I think the media influence most peoples thoughts on what to think of these "celebrities" every shop I walk in that sells magazines you can guarantee Amy Winehouse will be wrote about in nearly all of the magazines, I've hardly seen one nice compliment to Amy seen the 4 years she's being around.
Anyway, I decided to go purchase the DVD to see what she's really about.
"ItoldyouI was trouble" which is live in London was pretty good; I must admit on stage she was drunk. But watching the chapters on her life were very interesting, especially when it mentions the "Rehab" song and explains what it's all about, you see a complete different light to her which is defiantly a good reason to buy it. I would recommend this DVD to anyone who likes Amy ...
Advantages: It just epitomises Christmas Disadvantages: None - don't believe those American critics
this is one of the most beautiful, spirited, atmospheric and visually wonderful depictions of the Father Christmas story that I have ever seen ,it delivers a wholesome, heart warming message that makes it feel such a wonderful film.
This is a truly wonderful story that perfectly explains the story of Father Christmas in a way which will never fail to amaze children, and to reinforce their belief and the credibility of him.
It answers all the questions that children throw at you about Father Christmas, from how his Reindeer fly to how he delivers all the presents in just one night. David Huddleson completely epitomises Santa Claus in every which way, complete with white beard, hair, suit, sack and flying reindeer.
The cast is fantastic, David Huddleston and Judy Cornwall are robust, rosy-cheeked and cheerful as Mr and Mrs ...
Advantages: Funny and well written Disadvantages: Some of the Amricanisms in it can be off putting
still only in her 20's) which include getting fired for baking a giant cookie in the shape of her boss's head.
I found her brand of story telling delightful and amusing and very well written. I think out of all the essays I found ' You on a Stick" the funniest , basically it is a story , a very funny one, of when she was unexpectedly asked to be a maid of honour to an old high school friend she can hardly remember and who she didn't particularly like (but whose initials after the wedding would be F. U.).
Throughout the essays you are aware of Ms Crosley's despair at never being able do the right thing despite her best intentions- or is it because of them !!!
'I Was Told There'd Be Cake ' is original and funny in its portrayal of the struggles of modern city life; Ms Crosley takes her phenomenally average life and examines it ...
