...I always loved listening to Johnny Cash when I was growing up. I loved his music from an early age when my Stepdad would have his cd's playing in his study and I would listen through the door! So when I heard they were making a film about him I was thrilled. As much as I loved his music I hadn't taken the time to read about his life etc as I has with others singers I liked. I thought this would be a great insight into his life. For those of you who don't know who he is, Johnny Cash was primarily categorized as a country singer but his music was much more powerful than that. ...This was a really great movie and one you should definitely see. It is about the life of Johnny Cash, the famed American country singer. Johnny Cash is played by Joaquin Phoenix and June Carter (his eventual wife) is played by Reece Witherspoon. I did not know anything about Johnny Cash before I saw this and even if you aren't a fan of his music that will not put you off the film. It chronicals his early life as a child (briefly) before he became famous and then his well publicised battles with drugs. The DVD also contains some special features such as audio commentary, 10 deleted scenes and the theatrical trailer. It is rated 12, only suitable for people over that age as it contains use of strong language and drug use. It is produced by 20th Century Fox and runs for approximately 130 minutes. ...When i first heard his voice i thought its just another elvis & i dont seem too like his voice. but when i started getting into johnny cash i really loved his music. he's not like anybody eles .. has his own voice and what an amazing voice i can tell you. His songs can be very catchy .. im only 14 and i pretty much know all the songs on this album . normally im just not into people like him . i just dont seem too get into it. but if you like country music you will surely love this album . young or old it doesnt matter , listen too johnny cash ... dont care what people says because if you follow people we will all be the same and god did not make us that way . listen too this album and be different like johnny cash...
