Advantages: Some great country-pop tracks Disadvantages: Maybe too pop for country fans and too country for bubblegum pop fans
...It's confession time. Much as I try to deny it, I am a closet country music fan. I blame the influence of my father, who honestly believed that the antidote to my mother's constant playing of Elvis Presley and Cliff Richard records lay in the songs of Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers and Crystal Gayle. Maybe I should have told them they were both wrong, but that's kind of difficult when you're just a baby and haven't learned how to talk yet.
Still, I thought I'd gotten away with it for many years. I survived my teens in that house by listening to rock music whilst sneering at the original rock 'n' roll my mother was playing. I honestly believed I meant it when I told my Dad that TammyWynette's song with the KLF was her best. Advantages: Some tracks (Nat "King" Cole, Louis Armstrong) are priceless Disadvantages: Jimmy Durante? Celine Dion? Blecch!
...Soundtrax's "Sleepless in Seattle" should have been more enjoyable, or at least a bit more emotionally charged, but this Nora Ephron-Marc Shaiman produced album was more of a hit-and-miss affair at best. Yes, I like some of it, but in the end I found myself wishing I'd bought something nicer.

...~~~ARTIST~~~
Reba McEntire is a hugely popular country music start, especially in her native US, where her multi-million dollar business includes not only recording studios and labels, but clothes and homewears too!
Born in McAlester, Oklahoma, in 1955, she's been in the music industry since the early 1980's. Her style of music has been described as "bridging the gap" between the 'traditional' country of TammyWynette and Loretta Lynn and the 'contemporary' country of the likes of LeAnn Rimes and Faith Hill.
