I think Britney has proven by this song that she isn’t the girl next door figure that we always see her as, she projects a more mature image with this track.
This was the first track to be released as a single from her self named album “Britney”. “Britney” is the third album from her successful career and I’m a Slave For You has followed the success of her other singles by going to the No1 spot in UK.

Britney’s voice is very unique and I believe she is a very talented singer. She has a voice which you can recognise whenever you play a song of hers on the radio, that is what I call a truly original artist.

The song is a mid-tempo dance anthem which I am sure fills up the dance floors in clubs.
It certainly sounded unique when it was released.

Written by C. Hugo and P. Williams it has a unique sound to it which I haven’t heard any artists performing before. It has great lyrics where we have a raunchy song with lyrics which give the impression that the singer wants to released by their stereotypical image and do what they want to do, which is dance! A bit like Britney here!

This track was produced by The Neptunes which is brilliant because they always make the best music and have the greatest remixing technique. I am sure The Neptunes are the ones who remixed the song Boys from Britney’s album for the soundtrack of Austin Powers, and it was made into a brilliant song!

If you haven’t heard this song, you have definitely been under a rock but this was released quite a while ago as Britney is now having a rest from her career (me thinks!) so you may not remember it.

In the song you will hear Britney using a gravely voice which is her trade mark, but she goes even more gravely when singing some parts. Britney starts the song by talking and then launching into her trade mark voice.

The chorus and verses are intertwined into a great order with a repetitive bridge which is really easy to sing along with which makes a great song.

The background music has a mixture of drums which have been distorted into a underground/urban sounding music.
