Britney Jean Spears is an American pop star who has been active in the music world since 1999 when she burst on to the scene with her well-known song 'Hit Me Baby One More Time' wearing a school uniform.
Britney was born on December 2nd in 1981 to parents Jamie and Lynne in Mississipi although she grew up in Kentwood , Louisianna.
She was an accomplished gymnast and dancer and took part on the Mickey Mouse Club televsion show alongside fellow popstars Christina Aguilera and her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake.
Britney and Justin dated for four years but split up in 2003.Rumours say that Britney cheated on Justin , due to the reason that in Justin's 'Cry Me A River' video there was a girl who had exactly the same features as Britney , e.g the hair.In this video this girl had been cheating on him , so he cheated on her and filmed it so she could see it.
Britney married Jason Allen Alexander who was one of her life long friends.Their marriage lasted just over 50 hours.
Britney then married dance Kevin Federline , who she has now divorced.Together they have two children : two year old Sean Preston and one year old Jayden James.Kevin currently has custody of the two children.
Britney has sold an estimated eighty three million records worldwide and she was once named the most powerful popstar.

When I first heard this song , I was extremely disappointed. I really didn't like it. At the time of it's release , I was only eleven years old , however when I was sixteen and bought Britney's greatest hits album and heard this song , I absolutely liked it.. So perhaps , it wasn't the fact that it is a poor song , but the fact that my taste in music has change over the years.
This song was definitely a new chapter in Britney's style and image. Gone was the 'sweet , innocent girl' and this song presented us with the new Britney , a more 'Sexy , mature woman'. I would say that this song wasn't really aimed at her 'young girl' fans as it is quite a 'sexy' song and therefore I would think it is aimed more at teenagers and adults.
This song is bursting with attitude! It's a great song to listen to before a night out , because I find it is a song that gives you confidence and makes you feel good! It also gives you a chance to practice your dance moves before a night out! This song has a great funky beat!
On this song , Britney sounds different to how she sounded on her other singles before this one. Her vocals are most 'mature' and 'breathy' ; gone is the nasally voice Britney had when we first heard her!
The chorus on this song is very catchy. Although I like this song , I think it would have been better as a duet perhaps (like her 'boys' song , which she dueted with Pharell Williams.) I just think that , with someone else single with her , it would have given the song a bit more 'oomph' and personality!
