Advantages: Everything! Disadvantages: You may need to make a few modifications to your kit, worth it though.
...I first played this game at my uncle's house, and within about 5 seconds I was addicted.
At this point I had already played the games predecessor 'Guitar Hero', and so had an understanding of this sort of game, particularly the guitar. Rock Band, however, is far better.
Like Guitar Hero, Rock Band is split into four difficulties. Easy, Medium, Hard and Expert. You can do a solo tour and play all the songs in sequence at different difficulties (easy has a few less songs than the other difficulties, which makes sense, since some rhythms can only go so easy).
On multiplayer the format changes, and you play in different cities and venues, gaining 'stars' to move on with the plot of the game. You can have up to 5 stars, depending on how well you play the song. I don't think you can get less than 3 or you won't complete the track...

Advantages: Great show, different format to other shows of its kind, great presenting. Disadvantages: Annoying time fillers, too much make up, wouldnt survive now.
...questions to be asked & answered in our house were do they look like the person they think they sound like & do they sound like them? The make-up team normally did a very good job but some of the people were just rubbish & I remember on one of the last series seeing somebody who thought they looked & sounded like Eminem and they just did this atrocious rap that made my skin crawl!
The show was quite good viewing and as the weeks went on contestants would get eliminated and then at the final the contestants would normally meet the person they were taking off (providing they were still present on this earth of course!) and there would invariably be tears and happiness and these episodes were always my favourite.
I always used to badger my Mum to let me phone in and vote for my favourite acts in the final and the call prices were very reasonable...

Advantages: It's a game, and you play it to give you pleasure Disadvantages: It's a game, so it will take up your life
...Oh my goodness... a sequel that doesn't suck sliced lemons. This is a game that would be either revered as an awesome demi-god of action RPGs, or be reviled like a pile of cow pat diarrhoea melting in the hot sun. Luckily for me (and you) I like this game, therefore I am here to review this game and reveal to you why I enjoy this game so very much.
I won't lie to you. I love RPG games, especially those with a great, amazing and epically well written 'oh no here comes another apocalypse!' plot. When the plot thickens, it is a lovely thick beef stew, with dried mushrooms. Simply delicious. As a result, my review here will be somewhat biased due to my penchant for gaming of the role playing type, but it would be a bias within the realms of Ciao review acceptability. Oh yes, let the conformation begin.
The game takes place on Albion...
