I Heard That Song Before

Advantages: an absorbing read
Disadvantages: none

I'm an avid crime reader. In fact it's pretty much the only kind of book I read. It's not even deliberate, it just keeps happening. But then there are so many subtypes within crime writing that one isn't really sticking to the same thing. I started enjoying MHC's books some eight years ago, and I have by now read most of them. Other reviewers of her work have often commented that she seems to follow a certain pattern. I have to agree. It can be summarized that the always female lead character is either a witness to something or even marginally involved in something but without being guilty of anything. Someone else pursues her to either silence her or gain otherwise. In a few others the lead character's job or hobby leads her into the path of a dangerous criminal. The books are not predictable on an individual basis though. There ...

That's it Harry, back you go again!

Advantages: Some great moments
Disadvantages: Some poor parts, and some disappointing omissions

I have been a fan of the Harry Potter series ever since I watched the first film a number of years ago. Since then, I have anxiously awaited not only the books hitting the shelves, but also the films hitting the big screen. Yesterday, my wife and I went to watch the sixth of a potential 8 Harry Potter films, and Harry's penultimate year at Hogwarts' School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is the sixth film and book of the series, and sees Harry enter his sixth year at Hogwarts. Since he first realised that he was a wizard, and indeed one destined to be the 'chosen one' to rid them of the evil of the darkest wizard ever Lord Voldemort, he has had no end of adventure. Every school year has presented a new danger, in an almost autonomous story, despite the continuance of the overall tale and development ...

James Bond meet Harry Tasker

Advantages: read opp
Disadvantages: none

sales men, his wife is bored of him, and his daughter is embarrassed of him, however they can never learn the truth about his identity. Harry's characters is simply brilliant in this film, Arnold plays both a action and comedic role. Having watching most of Arnold comedy films I was very disappointed, they've tend to be a huge failure in the box office. However Cameron finally found a formulae that made Arnold appealing in both a comedic and action way. Ive never seen films were he's portrayed these two characteristics better. Helen: Jamie Lee plays the role of Helen, its always unusual watching her in a film that isn't Halloween, yet her screaming is most definitely still the same. Her character is fun and joy able to watch. The Middletown mum, who's bored of her husbands lack of excitement, finds joy in a brief affair she has ...
