...Billy Idol must have been one of the biggest stars in the Eighties and early nineties. He had number of hits including White Wedding, Rebel Yell and Mony Mony. The album 11 of the Best has these and eight more form the relatively short solo career. Nowadays the music seems dated although at the time he was on the cusp of Pop and Metal. There are some other tracks on the album which were not big hits but might actually be more durable than the chart hits. These include Flesh for Fantasy and Eyes without a face. A must for Idol fans and only for an Eighties fan of your not.... Read review

...parents like this 7.To be a lover (Can just see his lip snarling in this one ) Elvis Type song. Beaty 8.Sweet Sixteen (Slightly country slow song) 9.Flesh for Fantasy ( A typical 80s style record 10 Don't need a gun (Slowish at first but speeds up ) 11. ...I thinki this album is great to be honest. I'm not a great fan of all of the songs as I do tend to prefer Rebel Yell and White Wedding to all the others but still, this album shows that he can be a very versatile performer. Heavier rock tendancies show in Rebel Yell and White Wedding, then you have the likes of Flesh For Fantasy which is definitely lighter. All the tracks are good but as with most albums, there are only a couple of great tracks. I do recommend that anyone knew to Idol buys this album but those who already enjoy his work should go for the later Greatest Hits CD. I was lucky enough to get the vinyl with an extra 4 track 12 inch which improved the package.... Read review
