...I have always been, and probably will always be, an Eagles fan. Yet still, I keep being impressed by this band. Initially, like many I assume, I was nervous about listening to this album in case it didn't live up to the very high reputation the Eagles built for themselves. Straight from holding the CD box though, there was something reassuring about it. It's a double album- that's a lot of Eagles songs but might that mean that many haven't been given proper work? But the Eagles thankfully are perfectionists. The first track, No More Walks in the Wood is a poem, and contains little backing from instruments and instead allows the voices of all 4 members to harmonise so well to describe the once luscious forest now torn down. ...Hi there, I would just like to take this opportunity to review what I consider to be one of the greatest albums on earth, Hell Freezes Over by the legendary Eagles. For those of you who aren't sure who The Eagles are let me just explain. They are probably more well known for their hit single Hotel California which was released way back in 1976, way before my time I might add. They're an American group and can fill the biggest of stadiums like the best of them. I've not counted all their albums but i'd say there's around a dozen of them, they've been around decades and in that time become one of the biggest sellers out of the music world. ...Excellent album,well done.Brings back memories of good times long past. Would recommend it to any Eagles fan. I saw it in WHSmith and bought it on impulse, as it has been ages since I have heard any Eagles music. I was not dissapponted. It is an impressive compilation of the very best songs by the group and very enjoyable to listen to. I am very happy with what was basically an impulse purchase. Takes me back years....Hotel California,Peaceful Easy feeling,Lyin Eyes,Heartache Tonight, The Long Run, all the hits are definately on here and well worth relaxing with a glass of your favorite drink and remembering older, happier times as you listen to this album.You won't be disappointed.
