Advantages: A strong return from an underrated band
Disadvantages: Still not quite reaching their full potential......

"Kill Your Own" is the third studio album from British hard-rock band Hundred Reasons, following the unprecedented success of debut release "Ideas Above Out Station" and it's follow-up "Shatterproof Is Not A Challenge". Released in early 2006, it is the band's first album since their change to the label V2 Music. Many people felt that the band's follow-up from their debut album was somewhat of a let down considering the success of "Ideas Above Our Station" that broke them out of the underground and into the mainstream, so with that in mind, many people awaited for this album with baited breath, to see if the band could return to successful ways, or whether or not their debut was a mere fluke...... Opening track "Broken Hands" starts things off excellently, and from a personal point of view, out does more or less every track off ...

Review of Kill Your Own - Hundred Reasons

Seven - a great thriller by a very good director

Advantages: Excellent performances and a clever story
Disadvantages: A bit bleak and depressing! Not really a disadvantage for me but not to everyone's taste

Seven - or Se7en as it was marketed here - is directed by David Fincher and stars Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman. Freeman plays a retiring cop hoping to escape the eternally dreary and grim city in which he has been working with the homicide squad for many years. Looking to replace him is an ambitious young police officer played by Pitt. Between them they try to track down the culprit behind a series of killings based on the seven deadly sins getting ever closer to the deadly psychopath. This is the film that really made me take notice of David Fincher as a director. The rainy city provides a classic film noir backdrop with its depressing anonymity. Almost as soon as the film begins you share the weariness of Freeman's Detective Somerset as the drudgery and unpleasantness of his onerous task of policing this foul city really hits home. By ...

At sixes and sevens

. This may not seem like a huge time difference, but when you're depressed minutes can seem like hours. It also tends to cause fewer side effects than older drugs and is tolerated better by the body, so is often prescribed for people who have had a bad reaction to other antidepressants. Zispin comes in 30mg tablets. This seems a little daft, as the starting dose is almost always 15mg (increased to 30mg after two weeks, and eventually to a maximum dose of 45mg if needed). But the slim oval pills snap in half quite neatly thanks to their smooth, reddish-pink outer coating, which makes them less likely to crumble and also easier to swallow. A box contains 28 tablets, in four strips of seven. There are perforations in the plastic strips so you can take just a few tablets with you if you're going away for the weekend.
