Advantages: Great lyricism Disadvantages: A couple of the tunes are just average
"IAm.." is the third album by the New York rapper, Nas. It came out in 1999, and was shortly followed up by "Nastradamus" later onm in the year. Nas continued to show off his lyrical talent as he had with his first couple of records, and his joint effort along with Foxy Brown, Nature and AZ as part of The Firm.
1. "Intro"
2. "N.Y. State of Mind Pt. II"
This is a revisit by Nas as he goes back to material from his debut release, "Illmatic" for inspiration as he does a remix to it. You have him doing similar things in this tune as he raps on a sample of the DJ Premier beat for this new take on the tune which he originally recorded in 1994.
**Four Stars**
3. "Hate Me Now" (feat. Puff Daddy)
The purpose of having this one on here, apart from the music is the controversy surrounding to the video to it, in which Nas is ...
Advantages: Most of the hits Disadvantages: Some big tracks missing
for writing rhymes is displayed, itwas very different to anything else at the time and it's complexity would mean that it wouldn't really fit in too well today, but that's what makes Nas so great, he comes with something original and persists, instead of coyping popular trends.
**Four Stars**
---6. "One Love" (feat. Q-Tip)---
Album From: "Illmatic"
Year: 1995
Length: 5:25
Producer(s): Q-Tip
I hate to hate on Nas, but I just didn't feel this one, it didn't have enough energy to draw me into like most of the rest of the tracks on the album, for this reason I blame Q-Tip as this is the other record he produced on the album. i also feel bad for complaining because i like the concept of him speaking out the words from a letter he has written to his incarcerated friends, and if you knew the context then you would be likely to enjoy ...

Ciao members have rated this review on average: very helpful Review of Greatest Hits - Nas
Advantages: Great Lyrics. Disadvantages: Some Tracks Let It Down.
neighborhood it is actually a diss track aimed to Hip-Hop icon The Notorious B.I.G.
- Street Dreams: 4/5
This is another great track off the album and is Nas' own version of 'Sweet Dreams' which was a Eurythmics song. A song that deals with drug dealing and it's consequences in actuality leaves your more attracted to the instrumental rather than the lyrics which are once again top draw.
- I Gave You The Power: 3.5/5
There's something about this song that makes it seem unfinished. Lyrically though it tells a great story which saves the lack of harmony between his flow and the instrumental.
- Watch Dem Niggas: 3/5
Is it me or are the ratings slowly starting to go down? this isn't one of my favourites and is another that seemed 'unfinished'.
- Take It In Blood: 3.5/5
Even though the feel of the two previous tracks continues on this one ...
