Review of Seattle

One of the best things I've done in my life : Mobile/Park home

Advantages: Peaceful, smaller property, great community spirit, safe, self-contained
Disadvantages: Though strong, a mobile/park home is built of flimsier material than a brick home

When people learn that I live in a mobile home, they get the impression that I live in a caravan, and constantly batter me with questions like...."Don't you find it difficult having a flat roof when it rains?" .... "Why don't you learn to drive, then you can hitch up your caravan and holiday anywhere you like?" My answer always is an attempt at explaining the difference between a caravan and a mobile home. There is also a growing body of people who just can't understand why I gave up a semi-luxury flat to live in what they see as little more than a hovel. So, why did I do what for me, is one of the best things I've ever done in my life? To just skim over the surface of what is a collection of long stories, I found myself in a position where I hated my job, hated my bosses, hated commuting to and from London each day (as I had done ...

Review of Member Advice on Park Home Living

Very comfy stay in Seattle

Advantages: Good location, good facilities, really comfy beds!
Disadvantages: Expensive

Last summer my boyfriend and I travelled across Canada and down through America. Our first stop in the States was Seattle. Now, being two students we wouldn't normally have given the Hilton a second thought. However, my father (bless him!) had a Hilton Honours card with a few spare points on and so offered to use these to give us the room! We were very grateful, especially as we were due to arrive in Seattle quite late in the evening and we didn't relish the thought of finding we were staying in a dump when we arrived! We were pretty sure that the Hilton would provide us with a clean, comfortable welcome so we jumped at the chance of staying there. PRICES There is no set room rate for this hotel.
