decision to have a contraceptive implant fitted and rang the clinic who gave me a consultation later that day. They took my blood pressure and a few medical history details, told me the pros and cons and made me an appointment for the next day to have it inserted.
You can get implanon inserted at family planning clinics and some doctor surgeries depending on whether the doctor is trained in inserting the Implant.

gave me a needle to deaden the top of my arm, very quick process it was. Done in a couple of minutes. He bandaged it up and told me to remove it the next day and try not to touch it so much. it was 7 weeks after i had it fitted that i stopped bleeding (period like bleeding that i was told was normal).
After 5 months i was moody as hell and still without a regular cycle.
I asked about getting it taken out as it felt to me like it wasnt working and i was told that it could take up to 12 months for it to acclimatise with my body, so i persevered....
At 15 months i was still no better off, still moody still with an eratic cycle and now ...
