In 1957 Alex Harvey won a competition to find Scotland's answer to Tommy Steele, winning that title gave him work as a backing singer for Gene Vincent and Eddie Cochran, so by the time he picked up a backing band called "Tear Gas" in summer of 1972 Alex had been working in Show business for nearly 30 years. For when Alex and his band now renamed "The Sensational Alex Harvey Band" went into the studio to record the first of these re-issued albums "Framed" recording sessions where completed in a week. With it's no-frills rock approach with a twist of blues and with only 2 cover versions that being the title track Framed written by the legendary song writing team of Mike Leiber and Jerry Stroller and the song "I just want to make love to you" written by Willie Dixon both old blues songs Alex had taken and given a new lease of life ...

Advantages: Gripping suspense
Disadvantages: Quite a few..

person looking for opportunities, even at the cost of destroying Susan's happiness. The climax was a shocker and I was quite unprepared for it, inspite of having read the book .. But on the whole , I personally felt that the reasons for the killings were just not acceptable- it somehow made one wish that the story had some stronger points regarding the motive for the killings . That is a major flaw here...The song ' You belong to me ' and its implications somehow seem very flimsy and not reason enough for all those killings .. On the whole I would safely say that the film is watchable if you have not already read the book. It keeps one's absorbed because of the interesting plot. But if you have already read the book you may be in for a disappointment, as you tend to compare the film with the book, which in my opinion was better.. I would ...

Don't Get Frightened By The Band's Thrid Album Release

Advantages: Great Tracks Throughout, In A Different Style To Their Others
Disadvantages: A Few More Bonus Tracks Would Have Been Nice

This larger sound helps to give the song that slightly over-the-top and crowded feel, a for me that improves upon the earlier mix, but again the differences are only slight and you would need to know the songs well to hear them, as well as a good set of speakers. 14. Radio Commercial N/A This is simply the radio commercial that was put out for the album, featuring someone talking over a few of the songs and simply stating the group and the name of the album, before closing with the phrase, ?And the Band plays on?, a line that I feel is very much suited to the album, showing that they are still here and able to put out a good album in the process.
