In Amber - Dream Disciples

Advantages: A welcoming collection of electronic sculptures. Great intro to European electronica.
Disadvantages: Demands close listening despite too often having the ambience of background music.

...A favourite of the late great John Peel, "Music is a hungry ghost" is a juicy and delicious album for the student insomniac. Gentle, at once simple and sophisticated, the precise electronic rhythms and (unusually for this genre) genuine melodic quality makes it the perfect accompaniment to a late night's essay-scribbling, lucid dreaming or solitary drinking. Stand out tracks include "how we never went to bed", "from dream to daylight" and "she tended to forget", all delicate and spacious, complex but never crowded. This is electronica at its best - self-indulgent? of course, what good records aren't? - but never unwelcoming, never cacophonous for cacophony's sake; and best of all, rewarding to the close listener. Advantages: nice music
Disadvantages: not good if you dont like the style of music, cant buy in UK yet

...Amber pacific does the post hardcore world with this cd. All songs have some good lyrics, although the songs are either heavy or acoustic style or some in betweens. It would suit those who like red hot chilli peppers to funeral for a friend sort of thing. I borrowed the cd of a friend for a few nights and really liked the tracks. Amber pacific give good twist and lyric ideas. It combines a lot of the rock music scene. Not much improvement for it however it is very hard to find in england. The only places i have seen where i can get it are from HMV, but that had to be ordered via them. The Price i believe was £14 plus P&P. iTunes may have it but i dont trust them much.... Read review
