Advantages: a great film, catchy music Disadvantages: quite a dark film to watch
...While sitting with the DVD remote control in my hand, eagerly waiting for the lay menu to appear, hundreds of thoughts ran through my head. "What was it going to be like?" "Will it be enjoyable?" etc etc.
Up pops the menu, I press play, excited as anything.
Tim Burton is known for his special takes on things, this is no different, just the opening credits are enough to tell you what you're in for, and that's one hell of a film!
With Johnny Depp playing Sweeney Todd and Helena Bonham Carter playing Mrs Wilhemina Lovett, you can't go wrong. Depp's singing voice is so husky and gritty, so well suited for the part, where as Carter's singing voice is somewhat sweet and innocent for the most part, it really gives the character a twist.
Without giving any detail of the film and it's story/endings away (that wouldn't be fair to those...

Advantages: Different Drummer and a rhythm guitarist Disadvantages: Bit tinny
...guitar riff with the DS1 Boss Effect pedal synthasising it, roars in and the drums roll, the bass is hard to distinguish on here a lot of the time due to the fact of there being overdrive and distortion effects used to the max on the guitar! Good song but the bass is drowned out a litle! but still what a fantastic way to open an album!
2) Floyd the Barber - A very unusual song I think but again very catchy, with heavy distortion and the drums only kicking in on the bridge and chorus it establishes the song so much better than I 've heard other rock/alternative bands do it! Unusual lyrics, one to bang the head to I suppose!
3) About A Girl - You may have heard the acoustic version of this tune, well heres a slightly faster tempo and heavier version! This is just dirty rock and thats why everyone loves this band so much . In the words...
