Advantages: A beautifully written album, heartwarming in its soul and meaningful lyrics Disadvantages: Highly addictive
...This album is definitely Hall's best. Although the next two were also amazingly written and sung, this remains the masterpiece. Hall, newly discovered by Radio 1's Trevor Nelson, puts his heart into creating a new sound in the UK - its very rarely that we get any good soul singers here!
Most people have heard 'Sexy Cinderella' but would be hard pressed to think of anything else by Hall. I would highly recommend you purchase this album - and only this album - as once you get into the groove you won't listen to anything else! I have been listening to this CD for about 5 years and still am not bored..
Of 14 tracks, the best are of course Sexy Cinderella, Do I Qualify?, Crescent Moon, Livin' The Lie, Medicine 4 My Pain, and Do Angels Cry, although the others are still pretty damn good!...

Advantages: Good sound track that hits its films target audience. Disadvantages: It's not for guys. Second half of album is poor.
...often. Who knows. Great track, even if I dislike it.
8 - Maroon 5 - Sweetest goodbye
I had never ever heard of this, but its actually a really good song. Difficult to describe however. A sort of slow funk pop ballad mix.
9 - The Calling - Wherever you will go
Again, a slightly older offering from popular culture. A huge soft-rock hit though. I like it lots.
10 - Texas - I'll see it through
I'll try and leave my personal dislike of Texas aside, and just say that this is their current single, and they tell me its quite good.
11 - Joni Mitchell - Both sides now
12 - Otis Redding - White Chrismas
13 - Sharissa - Take me as I am
14 - Olivio Olsen - All I want for Christmas
15 - The Beach Boys - God only knows
16 - LyndenDavidHall - All you need is love
17 - Gabrielle - Sometimes
A collection of old hits, some redone...

Advantages: excellent music, history recorded, Dylan at war with the audience, unique expirence Disadvantages: addictive, NONE!
...the dissenters.
They play and they play loud, it seems they are determined to make sure no-one can hear anything but the song. It turns out to be a rather fine performance too, with lovely organ and guitar. Interestingly this is the only song to be from the first album, which was entirely acoustic solo folk music. So it was a sure poke in the eye for those who adored that body of work to experience perhaps one of their favourite old songs in the Dylan new order manner, fast and loud!
There is little pause in-between songs as 'Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues' kicks in, so the new order few manage to maintain a clap that almost sounds as if Dylan is back in control of the Hall. Again this is an excellently performed song. What's important I think is there is a quite heavy (for the time and context) guitar solo in the middle of the song...
