Album Notes: 'In Between' is the fifth studio artist album from German trance producer Paul Van Dyk. Recorded and produced by Van Dyk himself, the album continues with the classic trance sound that he helped develop in the early nineties under the Visions Of Shiva guise. Guest vocals come from the likes of Talking Heads' David Byrne, The Pussycat Dolls' Jessica Sutta and Alex M.O.R.P.H. The single 'White Lies' is also included.
Advantages: Cool trendy mix of music Disadvantages: None
...PaulVanDyk is nothing short of a legend, for years Paul has managed to maintain the secret to striking a good balance between calm chilled music to relax to and hard fast club music. Paul appears in Cream fields in Merseyside and has wow’s many people around the world.
No matter how many times he takes and remixes a track he can always make it sound more original every time and his skills as a DJ are sure to leave you listening to the same track and mix with out getting bored

...--Introduction--
Ever since i first 'For and Angel' a few years ago, I have become a huge fan of DJ PaulvanDyk. He has been voted the best DJ in the world in a number of polls in music and DJ magazines and is held in regard among clubbers and fellow DJ's alike. If you ever have the opportunity to witness one of Paul's sets live, don't miss out. He is a truly amazing artist with a pedigree to be truly proud.

Advantages: trance, appeals to Van Dyk or St Etienne fans Disadvantages: weak vocals,
...Sarah Cracknell from St Etienne's vocals have always done it for me. From He's on the Phone through Sylvie to Avenue, I always thought she was great.
However I just think they don't quite fit on this trance track from PaulVanDyk. The trance backing is good (it's no 'For An Angel' though) but Sarah's rather weak voice just doesn't fit.
It is worth buying if you're a VanDyk or a St Etienne fan, though I don't think the 2.99 price tag would lead to many impulse buys.
I think a stronger opening single from his new album would have been preferable....
