In Concert (Live) - Tony Joe White

Advantages: Comprises live concert DVD as well as a music CD
Disadvantages: Leaves me wanting more

...Not being renowned as not giving value for money, once again Sonata Arctica give a well packed album. I may have mentioned this before but Sonata Arctica hail from Finland and are my favourite band. This is a fantastic power metal album that comes with a DVD of a live concert in Japan and a CD of music. I would define Sonata Arctica's style to be very much like Altaria and a touch like Stratovarius. The DVD contains a total of 20 tracks. Most of the tracks are to do with love, broken relationships, or affection for a particualar place. The concert recording is of an high quality, with real clarity. You can see that Sonata Arcticas have a real natural flare for live concerts and there is a real enthusiam throughout the entire concert. ...Yngwie Malmsteen - What a guitarist. This man must rate as one the top guitarists around. I have enjoyed his music for years now. I have seen Yngwie a couple of times in concert and he is an excellent artist. I have also had the pleasure to see Joe Satriani as well (but not Steve Vai sad to say). Yngwie is different to Steve Vai and Joe Satriani. He definetly is one of the best around. Yngwie has many albums. I think his first album "Rising Force" was released in 1984. My favourite is the Live!!! compilation (1998). This is a good double CD compilation. My favourite tracks are "Far beyond the sun" and "Black Star". Go on and have a listen to Nygwie, you will not be dissapointed if you like solid rock guitar music.... Read review

...Joe Satriani - also known as SATCH. Joe Satriani was born in Westbury, New York, and began playing guitar at age 14. Joe has 10 CD's so far (not counting the bootlegs). He started off with 'Not of this Earth' and his latest work is 'Engines of creation'. I rate this guitarist very highly. I had the pleasure of watching him at a Concert in London some years ago. It was around the time he was about to release the extremist. Anyway this guitar hero can really hammer out amazing riffs. He does some really weird sounds (not sure how), he seems to be tapping the frets. His albums collections are very varied ranging from Blues, rock and love songs.
