This CD features the voice of Joseph McManners, a 12 year old, singing some of his favourite songs in a superb manner. He has played the part of Oliver in a performance by his local theatre company and played the part of the Little Prince in a BBC production thing being picked for the role from 25,000 people who auditioned. One of the songs, the Circle of Life from Disney's The Lion King, is a duet with Jo Appleby, one of the singers in Amici Forever, and the bonus track, the Little Prince Song, is from the Little Prince and also features the voice of Mairead Carlin who has one of the lead roles in the Little Prince. The songs are sung really well, and Joseph's diction is very good, and the songs all have excellent orchestral accompaniments, as well as the vocal accompaniment, in most songs, by Metro Singers and/or London Oratory School Schola boy's choir. Songs on this CD include Bright Eyes from the film Watership Down, In Dreams from the Lord of the Rings, Psalm 23 - the theme tune from the Vicar of Dibley, and Where is love? from the musical Oliver!. In total there are 13 tracks on the CD (including the bonus track) which are all of a good standard although in my opinion some arent quite as good as the others e.g. Pie Jesu and Panis Angelicus but then this could be just becuase im not a great fan of these songs but i must say that they are still sung very well and to a very high standard like all the tracks on the CD. A must buy CD - its very relaxing and calming and great as background music when reading or when trying to do homework/revision that type of work.
