Advantages: Fun night out, cheap drinks Disadvantages: Food was cold and not exactly gourmet
!
The menu is made up of what I would think of as quite traditional American food. There are things like potato skins, nachos and chicken wings to start. For mains there are burgers, ribs and steaks. For vegetarians there is a veggie burger or salads but the choice is minimal for veggies as seems to be usual in North America. For dessert there are things like key lime pie, apple pie and weirdly enough an English style bread pudding. The food is not gourmet; it is basically fast food. However, it was quite tasty and I think if you go somewhere with the name Wild Bill?s you don?t really expect anything else. The prices for the food were fairly standard for Banff (i.e. probably more than in some other areas).
The main reason that we went to Wild Bill?s was for the entertainment. We visited on a Wednesday which was line dancing and calf ...
Advantages: Great thriller, brilliantly acted Disadvantages: none
In the line of fire(1993) is a excellent thriller well directed by Wolfang petersen( who directed last years TROY) and starring veteran Clint Eastwood as retired secret service agent Frank horrigan.John malkvoich portrays the charasmatic and dangerous villian Mitch OLeary.Rene russo provides unlikely love interest for Clint as a fellow agent and Dylan mcdermott is the rookie partner to Eastwood. The film has a typically stylish score by the legendary Ennio Morricone.
The plot of the film is fairly interesting with a unexpected twist.Eastwood is the agent brought out of retirement to protect the presdient who has received numerous death threats.Malkvoich is the assasin previoulsy employed by the cia who has gone rogue and now kills for money. He will play a game of cat and mouse with eastwood taunting him his past with him not being able ...
Advantages: Entertaining and educational Disadvantages: Some bits are more interesting than others
It?s hard to define a book that incorporates etymology, history, culture, sociology and a huge amount of humour; the best I can do is to rather vaguely term it ?a complete success and a pleasure to read?. Literary Review puts it a little more succinctly as ?a triumph?, but I don?t think that even that high praise describes exactly how much information and entertainment Bill Bryson has managed to pack into this book. On the surface, it is an investigation of American English and how it?s been shaped through America?s relatively short history, but (as I hope you will see by reading this review) Made In America is so much more than that...
This is a book for all those snobs who sneer at ?Americanisms? and claim that the influx of American words, phrases and usages are damaging English ? they will be shocked to learn just how much ...

Album Notes
Personnel: Bill Frisell (acoustic & electric guitars); Arild Andersen (bass). Recorded at Talent Studio, Oslo, Norway on August 1982. This is the closest Bill Frisell has come to an actual solo album, though he is joined on half of the set by bass player Arild Andersen. Frisell's electric and acoustic guitars are multi-tracked throughout. The title piece uses light dissonances to especially shimmering and vibratory effect. IN LINE was produced by Manfred Eicher, whose customary pristine clarity makes an ideal setting for Frisell's subtly nuanced playing. Each of the nine pieces is distinct, but they also lend themselves to an over-arching feeling of connectedness. There is a real album identity to this work. Though quiet and meditative as both a guitarist and a composer, Frisell's style is broad enough to allow for a range of emotional settings--from introspective to celebratory.
Album Reviews
