Last summer I spent a few days in Salcombe after my Mum had booked this place as a birthday present for me. It was my first time in Salcombe so I didn't really know what to expect, but my Mum had been going there for years so I was looking forward to discovering it. The Ria View is run by Peter & Bernice Henesey Smith.

The Ria View is on Devon Road in Salcombe, Devon. Salcombe is a tiny town on the south coast. The roads to get there are quite windy so take care.

The parking at the B+B itself is very limited. We managed to get mine in but there is room for 3 cars and they can only be small cars ...

In the middle of February, I was lucky enough to be whisked away for a long weekend inLondon with my grandma. I?m a huge fan of west end shows and musicals, and so our trip was booked- we would go and see various different shows. I couldn?t wait to go.
One thing I hadn?t thought of before going however was which hotel we were staying in. I reckoned that we wouldn?t be spending too much time in the hotel itself, as we were going to be very busy, so as long as it had two beds, a bathroom and some sort of wardrobe I?d have been happy. I knew the name of the hotel was The Grosvenor, however I didn?t have a clue what its reviews were like, or in fact how many stars it had.

We had absolutely no problem finding the hotel. We took the train from our hometown, to King?s Cross inLondon. We only had to wait ...

surprising now, especially while UK is now having the worse recession in living memory and the new business minister ?Prince of Darkness? Lord Peter ?Mandy? Mandelson is too busy papering over the cracks in his prized new office wondering what colour his shade of magnolia his walls will be painted next month, or will it be wallpapered instead ? decisions, decisions. ? Forget the poor B&B work-force who are in line for the chop, actually just over 300 ex employees have already been released since the end of September 2008; there are two to many where I live near London.
I can still honestly say that B&B are able to heat their offices up, hence the number of homeless people scattered around the foyer, is rather staggering. Today there is a laughable notice that you can win £10,000 if you see a savings expert within the branch; or anyone as a matter ...
