In Love Again/In The Name Of Love [Remastered] - Peggy Lee

Advantages: A few really good song; Great singing; Amazing piano solos
Disadvantages: Some boring songs; A lot of intrumental songs

...This was the first album I'd bought by Peggy Lee, after hearing a few of her songs from the internet, and I was quite impressed. It may just be my taste, but in my opinion quite a lot of the songs are dull, and I almost always skip the instrumentals. Peggy Lee is brilliant, as usual, and George Shearing is enough to make you want to take up Piano. The album's best songs have to be - 2: I Lost My Sugar In Salt Lake City 7: Blue Prelude 8. You Came A Long Way From St Louis 9: Always True To You In My Fashion 11: Get Out Of Town (has an AMAZING piano solo) 13: Nobody's Heart Some of the songs take a while to get into, but you probably won't regret buying this album.... ...This is a compilation double CD, of classic jazz/blues tracks all by women singers from the past 5 decades. Issued originally in 2002 - remember when Norah Jones was all over the radio? Well, she is track number 1, on Side 1, with her hit song 'Don't Know Why'. Apart from this, most of the artisits I recognise from their own work, or hearing them over the years and you certainly get a lot of music for your money. ~~~ Track Listings Disc: 1 1. Advantages: Possibly one of the finest album's ever made. Full of beautiful melodies and fine pop songs
Disadvantages: An album and artist that are criminally not household names. Arthur Lee died before recognition was fully realised.

...Arthur Lee (RIP) is not only a legend waiting to be discovered, but a genius that was never realised. This album is his finest and considered by many to be his masterpiece and peak output. The album was released in 1967 and totally sank without a trace in his native America. However, in the UK, the album peaked at number 24, gaining a cult status for years to come, as the "undiscovered" masterpiece you should own. In this remastered edition the original album is featured (digitally restored) plus 7 extra tracks of alternate takes, b-sides and previously unissued material. The 24 page colour booklet also includes interesting history on the making of the album and a brief biography of Arthur Lee and the different guises of Love up to that point, also aiming at an audience that may not invest in any of his other releases.
