Karen Dalton was the interpreter and song-stylist of choice (in fact, Dylan himself rated Dalton as his favorite of the bunch). While she never achieved the kind of fame that her cohorts did, her influence was widely felt. Background
Well where do I start? I’m a fan of pretty much any kind of music which appeals to me. I like everything from RnB to garage, dance, rock/indy and many more. I would like to consider my opinion of music myown and don’t just listen to it because it’s the latest trend or anything like that. So to start the review I thought I’d do a bit of research into the music genre which is RnB. I’ve never really thought about researching into a specific music genre before but thought it’d be a perfect opportunity to educate those who don’t know much about it. Therefore I’ve taken it upon myself to compose a short list of interesting facts about the genre before actually detailing the subject matter, it may take quite a while but I’d appreciate anyone who reads the whole thing. ...What can i say about this man. He is a musical genius. This first album ' In myown words' contains the amazing tracks sexy love and so sick. Shakir Smith, as he's formally known is something of a love machine, releasing single after single that touch the hearts of millions world wide. I bought this album literally as soon as it came out and fell in love with his style of music and the unique beat he has to his songs. This is an excellent buy overall and totally worth the money. Gripping lyrics and terrific tunes on here to play in clubs. His new album 'Because of You' will be out soon and i cannot wait to purchase it. Listen to this in the mean time and you will be more than satisfied....

This is a fantastic album for such a young, great debutant. He has great talent and potential and his fab second album proves this as well.
Unfortunately, there are many songs that are unneeded on this album and would have been best to get rid of. This is the same with the second album.
NeYo needs to learn which of his stuff is good and then again not so good.
The good songs on this album are outstanding, but the bad ones are shocking.
The best songs on this album are Sexy Love and So Sick. These have a whole lotta soul.
NeYo’s vocals are beautiful...
