Double Trouble When Texas Flood's
Review of Texas Flood [Remastered] - Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble by BlueMidget

Advantages: It's SRV!
Disadvantages: Minor thing with the album sleeve, hardly worth mentioning!

...Stevie Ray Vaughan (or SRV as he is often known) was an Austin guitarists/singer/songwriter, releasing only five studio albums before his life was untimely ended in a helicopter crash. With his unique guitar tone and individual style, Stevie is still considered one of the greatest rock-blues guitarist of all time, inspiring young players to this day. Eventually going on to appear on albums for the likes of Davie Bowie and Jackson Browne, 'Texas Flood' was his and his band Double Trouble, (Chris Layton on drums and Tommy Shannon on bass) debut album. Originally released in 1983, here we have a remastered version released in 1999, with some Bonus Tracks thrown in for good measure. I got the bluuuuueeeesss!!
Review of Essential Stevie Ray Vaughan And Double Trouble, The - Stevie Ray Vaughan by brettoi99

Advantages: the master of blues
Disadvantages: nothing

...playing person , his songs are beautifully written , in traditional (and some times untraditional) blues manner. Easy listening. This album is a collabaration of many (not all) of Mr Ray Vaughns best songs. For any blues brother this album is an absolute treat , from the blastingly fast to the deep , emotional slow jams. For people not familiar , or trying to getinto the Blues ,this album is a great first step. It showcases the talent of one of the unsung heroes of the music world , in a way that the average listener could easily digest. Should I buy it? If I was you , I would buy 5 copies. 3 for my friends , 1 to listen to and 1 as a backup in case the other gets scratched. You will love it. Maybe only after a few listens , but in the end , if you don't love it you must be a bit daft. Blues is not what you think it is. Its not a bunch... Read review
