The Rasmus; dead like their letters?
Review of Dead Letters - Rasmus by  chriswynne16

Advantages: Very imaginative album, lots of flare and originality
Disadvantages: Gets pretty boring, very quickly...

...The Rasmus are: Lauri Ylonen (vocals) Pauli Rantasalmi (Guitars) Eero Heinomen (Bass) Aki Hakala (Drums) (Now I want you to be able 2 recite those back to yourself at the end of this review, with correct spellings… what? Oh come on, they're not THAT hard!?) Anyway, this album - "Dead Letters" marked the beginning of the Rasmus' influence on the British music industry, although unaware to many (I know it was to me before I had liked this band enough to research them further), the Rasmus truly began their music career, way back in 1996, when they released their first album ever "Peep" in Finland. This was to be the first of a string of five albums, in quick succession up until 2001 where they took a break to begin work on their worldwide debut album - "Dead Letters" The Finnish boys became stars all over Finland instantly... Dead? I think not.
Review of I'm Not Dead [PA] - Pink by  Secre

Advantages: Mostly briliant lyrics, catchy tunes, good beat
Disadvantages: Some songs that aren't as catchy

...to skip this but for the the largest majority of us this really needed saying. She asks how he can sleep while the rest of us cry, how he dreams when mothers have lost their sons, what kind of father would take his daughters rights away or hate her if she were gay. One of her best criticisms and by far the most funny must be: "You've come a long way...From whiskey and cocaine". 9/10 6. I'm Not Dead; Time: 3 minutes 46 seconds Pink speaking of relationships again but this is definitely not cliched in any way. Not a typical love song by any stretch of the imagination. Catchy tune and lyrics, this one I have to admit is very difficult to describe and it may be best just to listen to it. It's got a good beat and is easy to listen to without being amazingly thought provoking as some of hers are, well worth a listen. 8/10 7. Cuz I Can... Read review

Pre-Punk Fury+Amazing, profane Frontman=Dead Boys
Review of Young, Loud And Snotty - Dead Boys by  tomwesty

Advantages: Fantastic insight into early Punk ala Stooges and New York Dolls
Disadvantages: A few weak tracks

...Dead Boys were a punk/pre punk band that formed in 1975 in Cleveland Ohio, developing out of the band 'Rocket From The Tombs'. They are made up of; Stiv Bator (Vocals) who was once told by Iggy Pop that he was the second best singer in rock & roll (after Jim Morrison), Johnny Blitz (Drums), Cheetah Chrome (Guitar), Jeff Magnum (Bass), Jimmy Zero (Guitar). In 1976 they moved to New York, and quickly gained s notorious reputation for their outrageous live performances, with profanity being the norm, and on more then one occasion, lead singer Stiv Bators slashed his stomach with his mic stand. They regularly played at the legendary rock club CBGB's and in 1977 they released their debut album, 'Young, Loud and Snotty'. Their song "Sonic Reducer" is frequently regarded as one of the classics of the punk genre; often hailed as one of its... Read review
