...This is yet another essential album for any Aerosmith fan. Comprimising the highlights from the 78/79 tours this shows the strains of the rock and roll lifestyle that they were living at the time. Each track wrenches out all the energy from them no more so than on BACK IN THE SADDLE - furiously fast paced rock and LORD OF THE THIGHS - one of the most brilliantly titled songs ever. DREAM ON is painfully beautiful perhaps showing an insight on how you can just survive on the music no matter how bad you're living. The old sounds of CHIP AWAY AT THE STONE reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac/Led Zeppelin fits in perfectly with the classic covers on this album from the Beatles' COME TOGETHER to the Yardbirds I AIN'T GOT YOU and TRAIN KEPT A ROLLIN.The live aspect gives this album atmostphere perhaps not their greatest performances but certainly rock... ...this track. A good rocker "Steal Your Heart" - 3:59 Perhaps the weakest track. But by no means a poor one. "All England's Eyes" - 4:47 Real strong rock track this one "The Last Dance" - 3:39 Slow, piano led, lighter in the air kind of track The second cd contains demos of 6 of the album tracks. It also contains 2 versions of a track called Come on Young Love which actually is just "steal your heart" with a different chorus. There is also a 26 minute interview with Bob and Tony (circa 1993) Cover artwork by Rodney Matthews depicting what looks like a tavern. Possibly one of my favourite Matthews pictures.... Read review
