Advantages: Great TV Disadvantages: The worst of the five series
...The BBC`s rather bold policy of showing five series of The Wire back-to-back during the spring and summer evenings is very welcome as it annoying, and certainly all rather frantic if you want to keep up, video tapes piling up by our TVs as the excellent American cop series goes out at that post Newsnight, BBC2, 11:15pm weekday slot. It's a complete mystery why they didn't put it on the 9 pm weekday slot to build its popularity and so drag it out for two years it's that good and intelligent viewing for that anti-ITV prime-time slot.
Series one reflected the Black American drug culture of the City of Baltimore, through the eyes of the police, the legislature, the local politicians and the black criminal underclass themselves, their methods not that different from the good guys in getting the job done, whoever the good guys are...

Advantages: Extremely gripping, fantastic plot, great read! Disadvantages: I got to the end of the book :(
...If you are not aware, "Wirein the Blood" is Val McDermid's second novel in the series with Dr. Tony Hill. "Wirein the Blood" is based on a new profiling task force that is in the process of being set up to work in conjunction with the police in major investigations. At the start of the book, Dr. Tony Hill has acquired some 'members...

Advantages: Englands competitive record!!! Disadvantages: Personal affairs
...The sacking of Sven Goran Eriksson before the World cup had began was a major mistake by the football association, and this error was compounded by the fact the decision was not based on footballing grounds.
Mr Eriksson's personal life should be just that, personal, but with the british press constantly probing every move he makes they have made the job impossible.
Never was Sven praised for the hard work he put into producing one of the best national teams in the world - a team that is capable of winning the current World Cup.
It makes me angry to think our manager was given such a hard time by the press, simply because he was not British.
Any employer trying to fill a vacancy gives the job to the candidate with the merit to complete the task; nationality should not be an issue. Racism has no place in our game and neither...
