decided that she would make them all go to sleep then wake them up one by one. The last one of the characters she sent to sleep was Iggle Piggle, which I thought was cute as he?s always the last one to go to sleep in the show.
She played happily with the toys for 5 or 10 minutes then she wanted to read her new In the Night Garden book. As we were reading the story, my niece enjoyed picking up the character that was appearing in the story. We also used the characters to retell the story after we read the book. We also made our own scenarios and had conversations through the characters about what they had been doing etc. My niece was quick to tell me if I was doing something wrong and she happily told me what I should be saying and doing with the characters!
I think these are really nice figures. They are a good size for little hands ...
Advantages: 20 minutes long Disadvantages: strange
In the night garden is one of those very annoying childrens programmes that will get on most adults nerves but appeals to all children everywhere!
The programme consists of a group of very odd characters that are clearly deranged! The characters are basically people in big costumes that are obviously sweating there butts off inside these outfits! The whole thing is very similar to the Teletubbies but there is much more to see and do as there are more characters involved in the show.
The characters are outright strange and annoying. Igglepiggle for instance is a big, blue.........thing who carrys a red blankie around with him. He is one of the stars of the show and is seen to be a little bit naughty as the show always ends with him refusing to go to bed.
Upsy Daisy is a doll like girl who is constantly singing 'Upsy Daisy ...
In The Night Garden Figure Pack Story In A Box.....
When Jack was going through his short In the Night Garden phase, i thought i would get him some toys to play with from the rather large collection of merchandise for sale from this programme. I got him far too many things to be honest and this set of smal plastic figurines was just one of many.
The pack itself was fairly good value as it was on a sale from the Early Learning Centre, costing around £11. Included in the pack are all the main characters from the programme. There is Upsy Daisy, Iggle Piggle, Makka Pakka and all three of the Tombliboos, Un, Oo and Ee.
Each figure stands at about two inches high and is made from a rather tough and somewhat indestructable plastic. The figures are good becuase they can be used in all sorts of game play. They are suitable for use ...
