Imagine a time, many years back when PS2 was the dominant console in the market, GTA 3 was selling like hot cakes, and well...actually 3's were all the rage in video games with GT3 and THPS3. With THPS3 (Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3) came my first look at CKY (Camp Kill Yourself), a band made famous by both THPS3 and Jackass. After hearing the brilliant hard hitting rocky sounding "96 Quite Bitter Beings" (96QBB's), I immediately fell in love with the ... ...to be starting way back then. For those who don't know what this "brand Bam" is about, have you been hiding under a rock? Bam Margera, super star american TV star and part time skater. The blokes featured in Jackass, Tony Hawk skateboarding games and of course, his own TV show in Viva La Bam. Why am I bringing Bam into all this? Advantages: quality stoner pop Disadvantages: same old same old?
if you dont know about cky by now, then its unlikely that you ever will! the bands drummer jess margera is brother of bam margera, of jackass fame. also, jackass use cky's music quite a lot in their series. however, cky have come very far on their own merits and continue to work extremely hard in getting their name about. the debut album volume 1 was a superb slice of stoner rock with soaring pop melodies, so it comes as no surprise that this album ... ...the guitars, the band manage to step away a little from the stoner scene by making the songs much more accessible and poppy. this gives them a much more universal appeal, and songs like escape from hellview and flesh into gear would satisfy the tastes of many. there are 10 tracks on the album, but you can get a bonus version of the cd in which every song has its own video- you have to admit thats is superb value! and every video is different in its ...

Advantages: The songs are all great Disadvantages: They should of put more songs on it
I first heard about CKY like most people i guess, through the show Jackass, and also i heard the 96 quite bitter beings song on tony hawk's pro skater 3. when i heard the song on the game i knew i had to check out the band, so i went out and bought this album, and i am glad i did. It is one of the best CDs i have heard in a long time. i would give a favourite song from the album, but i cant as every single song on it is a masterpiece. i would also ... ...versa, buy Vol.1 if you like this.
I would say that my favourite song on it is either Frenetic Amnesic or Flesh Into Gear.
Finally, i would like to say, but this CD if you like good music, and hey if you dont like it sell it on ebay :-). ...

Advantages: interesting, innovate rock music. Disadvantages: May not appeal to all.
...has excellent vocals, which have a somewhat raw and melodic feel. The drumbeat on this track is solid work well with the track.
This album is the first of four cKy offerings. They have also released cKy volume 2, Infiltrate-Destroy-Rebuild and an answer can be found which, are all very different and on a par with this album.
Overall, this ia a good album. It has quite a unique sound which is completely different to anything else on the music scene at the time of release....
