This being the third album of what has now become an internationally renown punk rock band, the band has once again managed to grow and produce something new and exciting. Most of the songs still maintain their ambiguity, leaving loyal fans and coincidental listeners wondering what the lyrics actually mean.

The band has once again drawn references from movies such as 'Closer' which can lead to peculiar assumptions regarding, for example, the sexual orientation of some of the band members. For example: "He tastes like you only sweeter!" from the song 'Thanks for the Memories'.

The Vocals carry greater clarity than the previous two albums and with two chart-topping singles already out and a world tour which is currently still running this band is heading for greatness.

The first single, 'This ain't a scene' has been followed by 'Thanks for the Memories' and the enormous popularity of their songs can be clearly illustrated on social networks such as www.facebook.com and www.myspace.com where fans have set-up discussion groups, which publish photos and discuss the unique and often misunderstood lyrics.

The other songs on the album are in several ways different to the previous albums. The punk rock sometimes borders upon harder rock in, for example, 'The Carpal Tunnel of Love'.

This album is a must buy for any Fall Out Boy or Punk Rock fan. Although the two singles are commercial enough for the average consumer, the other songs are an exploration into the evolution of a band and may prove difficult to enjoy. Infinity on High, in my view is like an episode of a sitcom which may be viewed by anyone as there is no obvious chronology, however to the avid fan, the characters and the plot are in many ways connected.
