Advantages: great vocals and songwriting Disadvantages: a few weaker tracks in the middle, not released in the UK yet
...beyond her years and she is definitely a face to watch out for.
If you like Taylor Swift, you might also be interested in Miranda Lambert, who constantly being compared to her and is probably her biggest competition in that particular corner of the market being a young country singer-songwriter. It's hard for me to choose a favourite as Miranda is a lot rockier and probably has the better voice, but per CD there are fewer songs of hers I really love.
I downloaded this CD for free through Limewire, but it can be found at Amazon for £18.49 or on iTunes for £7.99. For some reason the deluxe edition with DVD is cheaper at £17.99! There's no doubt that is really expensive for a CD, but as of yet it is only available in the UK as an import, so much as I like it, I'd stick to download for now!...

Advantages: Relaxing music with Taylor's characteristic sound Disadvantages: Some may find it bland
...Beautiful laid-back music. Can be found on Amazon for £6.97, Wea (Audio CD) - April 1984.

When it first appeared in 1970, Sweet Baby James thrust Taylor into the forefront of the emerging singer/songwriter movement of the Seventies, achieving Top Five chart status and remaining a best-seller for some...

Advantages: Lyrically Perfect, a beautiful sound, leaves you wanting more Disadvantages: none, except its too short!
...Jane Taylor
*****We all Think that her songs are about us…!*****
Jane Taylor writes the perfect song.
I say this not from a lyrical or phonetically correct standpoint, but simply from the point that she achieves what all artists strive for.
Audience connection.
It's pretty much instant. She plays a song and every single member of the audience thinks she wrote it just for them. And when you look at the faces around you, you know they are thinking what you are thinking and I think that must be the ultimate buzz for Jane, to look out over her audience and see that. Pretty impressive, I say!
I saw Jane Taylor play live for the first time is a very popular Arts Centre in Newcastle called The Cluny. It's a regular haunt of artists and musicians and generally pretty talented people, but I have to say it was the first time...
