...As one of the die-hard Queen Fans that remember their entry to the "rock"world Queen's GreatestHits I is a must for any true fan.
As is GreatestHitsII and III! Freddie Mercury is no doubt one of the greatest Rock icons of the 20th Century, with a voice like no other. Brians guitar talent defies explanation (how can someone be that good?) and Roger and John are elements of Queen that could not overlooked - in truth and as the band themselves said they were Queen - not just 4 band members but a team, without any one of them the success would not have happened. QueenI is a tribute to the growth of rocks best known and loved band. A new generation of fans are again being introduced to Queen (albeit by 5ive) and the GreatestHits Albums are a fine example of Queen at their best...

Advantages: Classic after classic, and a genuine greatest hits album Disadvantages: none
...This album is classic songs followd by even more classic songs. Who can argue with the line up.
Bohemian Rhapsody, Dont Stop Me Now, Fat Bottomed Girls, We Will Rock You, Flash, Another One Bites the Dust, Play the Game just to name a few.
Normally GreatestHit albums are made up of some of the artists greatesthits, and the rest are saved for a GreatestHits 2 album. But even though Queen have 3 greates hits albums, this one is by far the best. All their true greatesthits are in there. There might be only 2 or 3 songs on the whole album that even a non-queen fan might not know, the rest are fan favourites....

Advantages: Of many greatest hits of albums for Roxy this is the best Disadvantages: None
...This was the first of the GreatestHits compilations which Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music produced. When originally released it contained 20 tracks as a double album but although each side of the LP had 5 tracks the running time was as little as 16-17 minutes for a couple of sides. The later version of their greatesthits (the CD ‘More Than This’ released in 1995) had a longer total running time on a single CD. Plus ca change.
For me this album better defines the essence of good Roxy Music and, ergo, good Bryan Ferry. Don’t get me wrong I like Bryan Ferry as a solo artist but for innovation and inventiveness he was at his best when with the musical influences of Phil Manzanera and Andy Mackay. It was the first 12 months of Roxy which was so new and fresh. There were one of a number of bands who grew from close associations...
