Before i start this review, i want you to go out and do something for me. Go out to your nearest record store or whereever, and bye the album straight away. I'm waiting...

Back? Ok here we go. Instead of writing this review, i could tell you to pop it into your CD player and you're sorted. But i'm not going to do that.

Background:
I'm a huge fan of greenday. I first bought 'Warning' and loved it. Then, i went on to buy Dookie, Insomniac, American Idiot and finally, International Superhits.

Be Warned, if you only like songs of kerplunk, american idiot, 39 smooth, shenanigans, this isn't the alubum for you. However, if you like songs from Nimrod, Warning, Insomniac and Dookie, this is the perfect partner! The album contains songs form these.

This compilation album was released in 2001 on Reprise Records, and as the name suggests, it contains all of their best song from the albums mentioned. I bought the album from Martian Records, for £8.99, an absolutely great price for such an amazing album, with 21 tracks. It doesnt matter if you have all of their previous albums, its nice to have all their best tracks on one album, so you dont have to keep switching.

Music:
The style of music is punk rock, as any fan would know. Almost all of the songs fit in with this criteria apart from track 15 - time of your life, which is very emotional, withjustbilly joe(lead singer) and his guitar. The whole CD is amazing, and is definitely the best in my collection, even if i only have about 15! The album contains some really catchy guitaring riffs, and even a couple of good drum solos!! The album is quite rocky, but not overly so, and I'm sure every will have a few favourite tracks.

Tracklisting and Favourite Tracks:

1. Maria - off the nimrod album, contains some good lyrics
2. Poprocks & Coke - a slower song, also off nimrod
3. Longview - good song, off the album Dookie.
4. Welcome To Paradise - also off Dookie
5. Basket Case - Off Dookie, most people will have heard of this song, but personally, its not really one of may favourites, as i have heard it so often.
6. When I Come Around - Again off Dookie, this is my best song from the Dookie tracks. Catchy guitaring. I good sing-a-long track.
7. She - Adain from Dookie (dont worry, this is the final one)
8. J.A.R. (Jason Andrew Relva) I had never heard this song up till now, but its fairly good. Not on any other albums, so this is a new track.
9. Geek Stink Breath - from insomniac, very good.
10. Brain Stew - also from insomniac, a bit slow at the start.
11. Jaded - also from insomniac, not one of my favourites, but still good
12. Walking Contradiction - The best song from the insomniac tracks, and also a contender for best song on this album. Very good catchy lyrics and guitaring
13. Stuck With Me - From insomniac, not good not bad, average!
14. Hitchin' A Ride - form nimrod, good riffs and a good song
15. Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life) - THE BEST SONG ONTHE ALBUM BAR NONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its absolutely amazing. Some people may find it boring, but i prefer the description 'a stroke of genius.' Its quite slow, but very emotional. (Billie Joe was almost crying as he played this song in Milton Keynes on the 18th and 19th of June 2005.
16. Redundant - from nimrod very good chorus
17. Nice Guys Finish Last - form nimrod, a fairly good song
18. Minority - very catchy. some will have heard of this one
19. Warning - a track from warning, good lyrics
20. Waiting - also from warning, another fairly emotional song
21. Macy's Day Parade - good lyrics, and its from the album warning.

Well their you have it, the bestalbum on this earth. If were to give one critisism, its that the tracks from the warning album are not my favourite. I prefer the tracks Jackass and Hold On, but i like all the tracks.

The Manual:
The colour theme throughout the manual is the same as on the front cover, pinks red and oranges. The manual contains photos of the band members. In order to fit on all thelyrics for all the songs, the writing is very small.

Overall:
I am passionate about this album, its amazing. Please buy it, wheter or not you are a green day fan.
