Interview Disc - Def Leppard

...I cannot offer any fault to this product. To start with, the casing is a fantastic idea. It is set out excellently and inside there is a booklet with information and photographs of the band. The first disc is the actual cd of Songs from the Sparkle Lounge and every track offers a different style of pure class! Whether you like soft rock ballads such as Love, hard rock heaven like Go or the mellow classic Photograph style of Hallucinate, this album has something for everyone. Just as you think it reaches a peak around Only the good die young, it tops itself with a fantastic metal sound from Bad Actress, adding to the fact that there really is no band like Def Leppard. As for the DVD disc, this includes a video of Nine Lives. Then it goes onto a track by track guide from guitarists Viv and Phil before finishing with a 40 minute documentary... Read review

...I own two def leppard albums, high and dry is one of them, I found it in a shop in sheffield, a real stroke of luck. the bands home city. This album includes amongst others the classic track, switch 625, one of my all tme favourites. Def leppard are still one of the biggest rock bands in the world at the moment. I saw them at the sheffield arena in 1999 and it was fantastic, but then home city gigs usually are arnt they? Since buying this album I`ve not seen it in any shop or at any car boot sale, but i would highly recommend it for anyone with an interest or even just a curiosity in rock music. Def Leppard even have the power to convert someone to rock who would normally only listen to pop/chart music.... Read review

Advantages: A great follow-up to Hysteria
Disadvantages: Highly Underrated

...This is probally one of the most underrated Def Leppard albums in my opinion. This is due to the fact that the release prior to this was the smash hit Hysteria. This album doesn't have the wow factor of Hysteria simply because there are a few weak tracks on the album. However the album includes many classic tracks such as 'Let's Get Rocked', 'Make Love Like A Man', 'Tonight', 'Stand Up (Kick Love Into Motion)', 'Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad' and 'I Wanna Touch U'. The style of the album is again very similar to Hysteria with some slow ballads and some tracks to really rock out to. I would definatley recommend this album to any Rock/Metal fan.... Read review
