I listened to Westlife when they first came on the scene, purely to see what kind of band Ronan Keating was managing. They seemed OK-ish, but not my cup of tea, really. (I love Backstreet Boys, as you may have noticed if you have read my opinions)! As time has gone on, they increasingly annoy me. They used to come across as a group of young Irish lads producing songs that were not too bad as long as I didn't listen to them more than a few times a month. They now come across as 5 guys who are taking the mick a lot of the time, by miming on Top of The Pops, CD-UK etc, even though the song is slow and they don't dance! This says to me that they probably don't have very good voices unless they are in a recording studio where their voices are maybe enhanced. It really annoys me when I catch sight of them on, say, Top of The Pops, and they seem to be giving it their all, when they are really miming. Nor do I like the way they have been slagging off whoever gets in their way lately. They have made nasty comments about Mel C, Christina Aguilera and Steps. Going back to my faves Backstreet Boys, they have never been seen to utter any detrimental remarks about any other artists. See the difference? Apart from the question of talent, that is!
